ძილის წინ ბებია ზღაპარს გვიყვებოდა ხოლმე.
Before sleep, grandma used to tell us a fairy tale.
გამგზავრებამდე ერთი საათით ადრე მოდი.
Come an hour before departure.
წლის განმავლობაში ქართულმა ჩემი ცხოვრება შეცვალა.

Whole clauses in two words
Four compression patterns: masdar + -მდე (გამგზავრებამდე until/before departure), genitive + წინ (ძილის წინ before sleep), genitive + შემდეგ (მუშაობის შემდეგ after work), genitive + განმავლობაში (during). Mature Georgian prefers these to full when-clauses.
Bare-stem attachments (*dzil ts'in) - the genitive link is obligatory; and heavy rotsa-clauses where the compact phrase is natural.
