Los pronombres indefinidos se refieren a personas o cosas sin especificar:
| Afirmativo | Negativo |
|---|---|
| algo (something) | nada (nothing) |
| alguien (someone) | nadie (nobody) |
| alguno/a/os/as (some) | ninguno/a (none) |
| todo/a/os/as (all/every) |
Doble negación:
- Antes del verbo, sin no: Nadie viene. Nada pasa.
- Después del verbo, con no: No viene nadie. No pasa nada.
Alguno/ninguno: Se acortan antes de sustantivo masculino: algún libro, ningún problema.
No hay nadie en casa.
There is nobody at home.
Double negative: No + nadie. In Spanish, this is correct (not redundant like in English).
¿Quieres algo de beber?
Do you want something to drink?
Algo = something. In questions, algo stays positive.
No tengo ningún problema.
I don't have any problem.
Ninguno → ningún before masculine singular noun. Double negative: no + ningún.
