Common Error Patterns
Used imperative when optative was more appropriate
Optative (-eyim/-elim) = suggestion/wish; Imperative = direct command
Hadi sinemaya gidelim!
Let's go to the cinema!
gidelim: let's go. Hadi = come on!
Sana yardım edeyim.
Let me help you.
edeyim: let me (do). Polite offer.
Ne yiyelim? Balık yiyelim.
What shall we eat? Let's eat fish.
yiyelim: let's eat (ye→yi before suffix).
