B2 checklist: Passive with modals + substitutes. Full Konjunktiv II (present + past). Konjunktiv I for reporting. Participle constructions. Futur I + II. Nominalization. Two-part connectors. All temporal clauses with correct tenses. Causal/concessive/conditional variety. Modal particles. Word formation. Fixed prefix verbs.
Writing strategy: Vary your connectors (don't always use weil/aber). Use participial phrases for academic style. Mix simple and complex sentences.
Speaking strategy: Use modal particles naturally (doch, ja, eigentlich). Express nuanced opinions with Konjunktiv II. Signal structure with connectors (einerseits...andererseits, zwar...aber).
- Register mismatch: Don't use spoken-style modal particles in Schreiben.
- Monotonous connectors: Vary: weil/da/denn/deshalb/nämlich instead of always weil.
- Avoiding complex structures: B2 expects you to USE passive, Konjunktiv, relative clauses actively.
