Academic Hindi hedges heavily: ऐसा प्रतीत होता है कि, यह कहा जा सकता है कि, संभवतः. Claims are attributed with के अनुसार and के मत में rather than asserted flatly.
First person is avoided; the passive and the impersonal carry the argument: इस लेख में यह तर्क दिया गया है कि. Where English says 'I argue', Hindi says 'it has been argued in this paper'.
