Objectif d'apprentissage

Compétences pour l'examen:Compréhension oraleExpression orale

Regardez ces exemples. Pouvez-vous repérer le schéma grammatical ?

Mluvím česky trochu.

I speak Czech a little.

Rozumíte mi?

Do you understand me?

Oni vidí hory z okna.

They see mountains from the window.

Learners confuse -it/-et endings with -at endings, and forget the 3rd person plural has the same form as 3rd singular (-í). 🇬🇧 English speakers: The identical 3rd singular and 3rd plural forms (on mluvί = oni mluví) are confusing — English always distinguishes 'he speaks' vs 'they speak'.

Schémas d'erreurs fréquents

Used -at verb endings (-ám, -ají) for an -it/-et verb

Check the infinitive: -it/-et verbs always use -ím, -íš, -í, -íme, -íte, -í

Used wrong 3rd person plural form (e.g., *mluvějí instead of mluví)

For -it verbs, 3rd plural is always -í (same as 3rd singular). For -ět verbs, both -ějí and -í are accepted.

Mluvím česky trochu.

I speak Czech a little.

Mluvit → mluvím: remove -it, add -ím for 1st person singular.

Rozumíte mi?

Do you understand me?

Rozumět → rozumíte: -ět verbs use the same -í- endings as -it verbs.

Oni vidí hory z okna.

They see mountains from the window.

Vidět → vidí: 3rd plural is identical to 3rd singular for -it/-et verbs.
