Word order as information structure: known first, new last (téma → réma), and how moving words changes the message
I can order sentences so the new information lands at the end, answering the actual question.

Český slovosled není volný — řídí ho aktuální členění: známá informace (téma) stojí na začátku, nová (réma) na konci:

| Co upekla babička? | Babička upekla koláč. |
| Co s tím koláčem je? | Ten koláč je snědený. |
Stejná slova, jiné pořadí, jiné sdělení. Důraz na konci je neutrální; důraz jinde vyžaduje intonaci.
