Most transfer errors disappear with practice. A small set does not, because the Russian pattern is too automatic to notice. This topic is a checklist.
| Error | Why it persists |
|---|---|
| Verb moved out of final position | Russian word order is free, so nothing signals the constraint |
| Article-like definiteness ignored on objects | Russian marks animacy, not definiteness, so ko is under-used |
| Continuous and habitual merged | Russian has one present tense |
| Infinitive not agreeing with its object | The Russian infinitive never agrees with anything |
| ne omitted or over-applied | No native model for split ergativity |
| Causative avoided | postrigsya hides the distinction entirely |
Read your own text and ask, in order: is the verb last, does every perfective transitive have ne, does every object need ko, and is every infinitive before chahiye or parna agreeing.
