Introduction to the simple future tense
Can form simple future for regular and common irregular verbs
Look at these examples. Can you spot the grammar pattern?
Domani andrò al cinema.
Tomorrow I will go to the cinema.
Parleremo italiano in Italia.
We will speak Italian in Italy.
Sarà bellissimo!
It will be beautiful!
L'anno prossimo studierò l'inglese a Londra.
Next year I will study English in London.
Pay attention to the highlighted parts. What do they have in common?
Il futuro semplice si usa per azioni future, previsioni e supposizioni.

Nota: I verbi in -are cambiano la -a dell'infinito in -e: parlare → parler-. I verbi in -ere/-ire mantengono la desinenza: prendere → prender-, dormire → dormir-.
Irregolari comuni: essere → sarò, avere → avrò, andare → andrò, fare → farò, venire → verrò, potere → potrò, dovere → dovrò, volere → vorrò.
Nel parlato informale: spesso si usa il presente + indicazione di tempo futura: Domani vado a Roma (= Domani andrò a Roma).

Using regular future for irregular verbs
Common irregular stems: essere→sar-, avere→avr-, andare→andr-, fare→far-, venire→verr-, potere→potr-, dovere→dovr-.
Domani andrò al cinema.
Tomorrow I will go to the cinema.
Andrò: irregular future of andare (andare → andr- + ò).
Parleremo italiano in Italia.
We will speak Italian in Italy.
Parleremo: regular future of parlare. Note: -are changes to -er-: parlare → parler-emo.
Sarà bellissimo!
It will be beautiful!
Sarà: irregular future of essere (essere → sar- + à).
L'anno prossimo studierò l'inglese a Londra.
Next year I will study English in London.
studiare → studier- + ò: -are verbs change the a to e.
Stasera mangeremo la pizza da Gino.
Tonight we will eat pizza at Gino's.
mangiare keeps the soft sound: manger- + emo = mangeremo.
Secondo me, domani pioverà.
In my opinion, it will rain tomorrow.
The future also expresses predictions and suppositions.
Domani vado a Roma.
Tomorrow I am going to Rome.
Spoken Italian often uses the present with a future time word instead of the future tense.
