Two-part connectors create balanced, emphatic sentence structures.

Je...desto/umso: Both parts need comparative: Je länger man wartet, desto schwieriger wird es. After je: verb at end; after desto: verb position 2 (inversion).
- Word order after entweder: Entweder can cause inversion: Entweder kommst du, oder...
- Je...desto without comparative: ✗ je viel...desto gut → ✓ je mehr...desto besser.
- Weder...noch verb agreement: Usually singular if both subjects are singular.

Weder...noch: double negation.

Je + comparative, desto + comparative.
Sie ist zwar streng, aber fair.
She is indeed strict, but fair.
Zwar...aber: concedes then contrasts.
