Pay attention to the highlighted parts. What do they have in common?
Některá slovesa mají nepravidelné l-příčestí. Nelze je odvodit z infinitivu jednoduchým odebráním -t.
| Infinitiv | L-příčestí (M) | L-příčestí (F) | Příklad |
|---|---|---|---|
| jít (jdu) | šel | šla | Šel jsem domů. |
| jet (jedu) | jel | jela | Jela do Brna. |
| moci (můžu) | mohl | mohla | Nemohl jsem přijít. |
| říci/říct | řekl | řekla | Řekl mi to. |
| jíst (jím) | jedl | jedla | Jedl jsem oběd. |
| vzít (vezmu) | vzal | vzala | Vzala si kabát. |
| najít (najdu) | našel | našla | Našel jsem klíče. |
| přijít (přijdu) | přišel | přišla | Přišla pozdě. |
Common Error Patterns
Formed the L-participle regularly for an irregular verb (e.g., *jítl instead of šel)
Memorize key irregular L-participles: jít→šel, moci→mohl, říci→řekl, jíst→jedl, vzít→vzal.
Incorrect L-participle for compounds of jít (e.g., *přijítl instead of přišel)
All -jít compounds follow the same pattern: přijít→přišel, odejít→odešel, najít→našel, vejít→vešel.
Kam jsi šel včera večer?
Where did you go yesterday evening?
jít → šel (irregular). Not *jítl or *jil. The whole stem changes.
Nemohla jsem najít klíče.
I couldn't find the keys.
moci → mohla (fem.). najít → found uses našla in past. ne- prefix for negation.
Co ti řekl?
What did he tell you?
říci → řekl (3rd person, no auxiliary). ti = dative of ty (to you).
